"Always great taste"

Living up to their slogan, Diet Coke really does have great taste! I should warn you now, I may be slightly addicted to the stuff and am therefore completely biased but that's besides my point...
Coca Cola have teamed up with several designers in the past including Roberto Cavalli, Matthew Williamson and Karl Lagerfeld. And the BEST news is, Mr Lagerfeld has done a second lot of designs for diet coke!
These bottles wont be out till June apparently, but I think it's worth the wait!

I fear that if I do buy these, I'll never want to drink them because they look so pretty! (can Diet Coke even go off?!?).
I'm also pretty caught up in the Asos/Diet Coke offer where every can of Diet Coke gives you at least £5 off (for every £20) clothing at Asos. What's not to love?
Being a biologist I felt the need to poke around the medical research and see how bad Diet Coke is for me.....I found quite a lot....then forgot it! Ignorance is bliss, isn't it? Well, until they stop having amazing offers and pretty bottles anyway.

You made me forget myself

So it's 1pm on a Sunday and I'm still in bed! I don't think I've ever stayed in bed this long and actually feel kind of guilty (is that normal?!?). My friend's party last night was a lot of fun, but I think one cocktail too many was had! I don't actually feel too bad, I think I'm just confused with the clocks going forward.
I think today is definitely a stay at home day, I've put the kettle on for some Earl Grey and have a punnet of strawberries waiting to be eaten :) Lazy days are such a wonderful thing!
Tomorrow my mother and I are having a spa day which is very exciting :) I've signed up for a "Devil's delight" massage which sounds heavenly, so I really can't wait!!!
I have some photos of my outfit on Friday (I think: I'm fairly muddled with the days this week) which I thought I'd post. This week has felt tropical in comparison to the last few months and not wearing a big, heavy coat has been lovely :)

T-shirt - HiveTees
Blazer - H&M
Cut-off Shorts - GAP
Tights - Primark
Wedges - Garage

I'm not sure if you can see it on these photos (in my last post you can), but I have found the coolest colour of nail polish ever! It was from Topshop and as soon as I saw it I think I squealed a little! It's definitely been brightening up my weekend :)

When you're feeling beautiful, will you remember me?

It's finally the weekend!!!!!! I'm absolutely ecstatic :)
This week I've had such a hectic week, mainly due to deadlines for Friday (yesterday). I've now breathed a huge sigh of relief and am looking forward to two weeks off university :)
Last night I was at my friend Tanya's 21st birthday party which was a lovely evening :) Tonight I have another friend's 21st which is starting worryingly early haha! It's been a very nice, but hectic start to my holiday.
I thought I'd put up some photos of outfits I'd worn over the past couple of days and at long last, I've finally got round to taking a photo of my tattoo to show you all :)

 Tshirt - a (lovely) gift
Cardigan - Asos
Cut-off shorts - GAP
Tights - M&S
Brogues - Asos

 Playsuit - Johann Earl
Cardigan - H&M
 Tights - M&S
Wedges - Garage
Bag - Camden Market

 My tattoo :)

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend :) I now need to go and get ready for another night of partying! It's such a hard life isn't it?

The race to the finish line.

It's Easter Break next week! This fact should really fill me with joy, but instead it causes mass panic. I have a lot of deadlines etc. to finish for uni this week and working seems to have consumed me (and looks set to until Friday!). I can't believe how quickly this term seems to have gone so far! The big bad world is now in sight and seems to be approaching much too quickly for my liking!
I'll try and make a post later on in the week, mainly for some light relief, but I've also bought some nice things which I've been meaning to show you all :) I hope everyone else is having a slightly more relaxed week!

This love's too good to last, and I'm too old to dream.

Today hasn't been hugely exciting, my boyfriend is away for the weekend and I seem to have just been wandering around the shops today. Tomorrow should be more productive, as I'm going on a First Aid training course. This is mainly for diving as the club I'm with needs as many people as possible to be trained up, but I thought it would be useful to have just in case anything ever happens to anyone (depressing I know!).
On the bright side (excuse the pun), it has been lovely and sunny today, so my wandering has actually been very enjoyable :)

Striped Dress - H&M
Denim Shirt - Vintage
Scarf - Thrifted
Belt - Vintage
Duffle Coat - Topshop
Shoes - Converse
Bag - Vintage

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend :)

Comic Relief

Sunshine again! I know that might sound silly, but in Scotland sunshine is a rarity (in my opinion anyway). I've been watching quite a lot of the Comic Relief programmes on TV, it doesn't really get much better than Noel Fielding dressing up as Kate Bush now does it?
My favourite part of Comic Relief has been the fashion collaborations, in particular the pieces Liberty have made to raise money (the Vivienne Westwood t-shirts are also amazing!). I bought a bag and a scarf a few weeks ago without any guilt whatsoever, as I know my ridiculous spending habits are actually contributing to a good cause :)

Sheer Shirt - H! by Henry Holland
Skirt - Urban Outfitters
Tights - M&S
Clogs - Topshop
Scarf and Bag - Liberty for Comic Relief
Bracelet - Souvenir from Malaysia

I totally forgot that I had this shirt, I think I bought it last summer and since then, it's been lost in the depths of my wardrobe! As for the bag, I think it's officially my favourite bag at the moment. I get so many compliments for it and everyone I've spoken to seems to love the print :)
I've never actually worn a head scarf like this before and I'm not sure about it (probably because I'm not used to it), I'd love to know what you guys think :)

Extra bright, I want you all to see this

It's so bright today! I think it's ridiculous how much happier I become when it's sunny, but anyway....I thought I'd do a post about the bright and bold trend (being so sunny and all). I think it's a trend that people are sort of intimidated by (I know I am anyway), as I guess it can be difficult to pull off.
I've made a collection of bright pieces which I think would be pretty easy to incorporate into my everyday wardrobe (or that's the theory anyways!), I hope you like it.

Top Row : Nail polish - Topshop, Cardigan - Cos, Tights - Asos
Middle Row : Shoes - Topshop, Maxi Skirt - Asos, Shoes - Asos
Bottom Row : Crop Top - House of Holland, Earrings - Topshop, Blazer - Asos

How cute are the strawberry earrings?!? I really really need them! I feel that I've gone overboard with items from Topshop and Asos, but they are all so nice so how could I not?!
So I think as soon as my money reappears (I just paid for a week long diving trip), I'm going to take the plunge and invest in some bright colours :) xx

Raining in my heart

Just a quick outfit post today, as I'm trying to postpone going outside for as long as I can (it's been pouring with rain all day).
Yesterday I was very happy with myself, as I managed to clean the entire house (probably well overdue). Is it just me, or do you find that once you have tidied up a bit you feel so much better! Domestic Goddess in the making? I think so!

Over sized cardigan - Vintage
T-shirt - Primark
Corduroy Skirt - Urban Outfitters
Tights - M&S
Shoes - New Look
Necklaces - Primark and Vintage Shop

This was my outfit yesterday, not hugely exciting, but very cosy! I should probably apologise for my face as well.....no idea what I'm doing! I love this cardigan so much, I think it's probably the comfiest piece of clothing I own!
Also, what do you think of my new blog header? I decided to make one late last night, but I'm not sure if I like it or not.
Have a nice day :)

Weekend Madness

This weekend has been a lot of fun! After 13 hours on a pub crawl however, I didn't feel like blogging yesterday surprisingly enough. The weather that accompanied Saturday was not the best either, so the shoes in the picture below were so waterlogged/ruined, they had to be thrown out!
Sunday was a fairly quiet affair as you might imagine! I thought I'd take some pictures of another project I'd been working on....my Beano table! I used to read the Beano all the time when I was little and thought it would really help brighten up my living room which seems to be mainly beige just now (ahhh rented houses).

Dress - Primark
Cardigan - Collection at Debenhams
Bag - Primark
Shoes - New Look

I hope you guys like the table! It didn't take me very long to do, it just took a while to order the glass for the top. It will now take pride of place in my living room :)

I'll pick some daisies from the flowerbed.

Last night at long last I went to see the remake of True Grit and it was absolutely brilliant! I saw the trailer ages ago and really wanted to see it, but for some reason I started thinking "hmm maybe it won't be so good" and put off going to see it. Hailee Steinfeld who plays Mattie Ross is incredible, I can't believe she's only 15! So if you haven't already, I would definitely recommend watching it.
Today I am preempting a weekend wishlist, because tomorrow I'm on "The Monster Pub Crawl". It takes place every year in St Andrews and starts at 11am (finishing the next day) and includes every single pub/bar/drinking hole in St Andrews (that's 30 altogether)...Wish me luck!

From Top left (Clockwise):
Floral Backpack - Matalan
Lion Pendant- Accessorize
Turquoise Earrings - Accessorize
Black Wedges - Topshop
Floral Messenger Bag - Tesco
Wedges - H&M
Trainers - Liberty for Nike

Most of these items are actually reasonably priced, in particular the fantastic wedges from H&M are only £29.99! I really have my eyes set on the wedges from Topshop, as they look like they'd be very easy to walk in compared to some others I'd found.
As for the trainers, I've had a look at various patterns they've brought out that are all equally gorgeous! I used to wear trainers (namely DCs) all the time as they were so comfortable, so these immediately stood out to me in this months ELLE, where I first found them.
I hope you guys like my picks and hope you all have a lovely weekend :)

Thank god it's Graze day!

So I have a new addiction.....but unlike most addictions you can get, this one is relatively healthy! You may have come across it already in fact. I'm talking about the wonder that is the Graze box, where a box full of healthy treats pops through your letter box with the element of surprise 'what will I get'?! Of course you can alter the type of things you get by selecting things you like and love. I've had a few boxes so far and have loved everything they've sent me. The boxes are also very useful afterwards for storing things, as they stack away neatly (if you don't like throwing things out).

Looks good doesn't it? Well it's successfully sucked me in anyways. If you would like to try it out, I have a code you can use to get your first box free and the second half price (you can cancel whenever you want) which is: 5QC15Q. You just stick the code in once you've selected your box type etc.

I find it's the perfect thing to stop me reaching for a packet of Rolos in the afternoon :) xx

Sesame St.

Today has been really fun! Mainly because I seem to have eaten my weight in pancakes (this will hopefully be cancelled out by giving up sweets and chocolate for lent). I'm really enjoying all the sunshine this week, even though it's not exactly warm. I went to the university library today and accidentally bought a load of textbooks I'll probably never look at again, purely because they were in a sale. I love carrying around textbooks though, makes me feel smart :)

Cardigan - Primark
Bert & Ernie T-shirt - Primark (Mens)
Leather Shorts - Vintage
Tights - Primark
Shoes - Converse
Bag - Vintage
Pocket Watch - Urban Outfitters

These are the leather shorts I mentioned in the last post. I think they'll probably take over from my denim shorts for being my go-to item, as they're sooo comfortable. I found this Bert and Ernie t-shirt in the Men's section of Primark, I swear I probably buy more things from there than the Womens section, but I had to buy it because I've loved Sesame St. since I was about 3 :)
Sorry about the dodgy lighting, the main light of the room has stopped working and I really need to get it fixed!

Falling off the world...

So I appear to have gone missing for quite some time! In fact, I can't believe it's been a few weeks since my last post! Time is something I appear to lack these days, and for every free minute I get and think "ooh blogging time", there seems to be some kind of time monster to gobble it up!
The past weekend for example, I thought I would be fairly productive (as far as blogging is concerned) and get back to posting. Time had other ideas and before I knew it, I was SCUBA diving all weekend in the North Sea (and yes, it was absolutely freezing!). I do love my diving, but since Sunday I've acquired an array of interesting bruises which I hope will go away fairly soon!

 photos from weheartit

I love underwater photographs so much :) almost as much as I love being underwater! I think it's the way you can float around as if almost weightless that I like, it feels so relaxing!

I'm still shocked so much time has past! I've collected a few new bits and pieces over the weeks including a pair of vintage leather shorts which I will photograph tomorrow evening to show you all :)
In the mean time, I hope you are all enjoying the warmer/sunnier weather!
